Above the games listed below, in a small number only you can hunt for snipe and water-game. This area is famous for its well-organised beatings for wildboar.
There is altogether 1200ha of game preserve, out of which 400ha is for wildboar and 800ha for reddeer.
You can hunt mainly from shooter's post, which during autumn and winter can be combined with stalking or hunting from horseback. There are 150ha of gameland and 200 roofed shooter's posts available.
In the middle of the area there is a hunter's castle having been built by Baron Biedermann that we recommend for accommodation. It has 1 single and 4 double rooms with bathroom.
Near the castle a lake can be found, offering the possibility of fishing.
There is also a working narrow-gauge railway.
